Stefano Borghi founded VC4Climate having generated a pipeline of tens of millions of carbon credits from afforestation, mangrove, cookstove and Redd+ worldwide. He is developing carbon streaming projects for corporations in Europe and Latin America. He was instrumental in launching the first carbon market company in Italy (CCC) and launched the first in Portugal – Planeta Lindo Lda.

Previously Stefano Borghi spent 20 years in senior positions with BP, Cable & Wireless and Nokia and 17 years in private equity. He created and managed Convergenza Sca, a private equity fund performing in the top decile and returning on average 8 times. He listed companies on the LSE.

He holds a Doctoral Degree in Econometrics from Bocconi University and an M.Sc.E from the London School of Economics.
